FICFE First International Festival of Female Choirs in Latin America | Primer Festival Internacional de Coros Femeninos en Latinoamérica

We are glad to extend information about the First International Festival for Female Choirs in Latin America (FICFE as its name in spanish). It will take place between the 18th and 23rd of November 2019, in Puerto Madryn, Province of Chubut, Argentina.

The main aim of the festival is to put together female choirs, teachers, arrangers, composers and public in general from Argentina and other countries around the world.

Our purpose is to encourage and help the musical development of women’s choirs, creating a space in FICFE to share artistic, technical, and cultural resources, as well as sharing experiences and values towards an equalitarian world.

The Artistic/Organizational Committee is formed by a group who are choir directors, singers and composers from Argentina and Cuba.

The first edition of FICFE includes a contest under the topic: “Composition of Original Works and Choir Arrangements of Popular Music for Female Choirs”, whose registration has already ended.
