The European Choral Association has just published an advocacy statement under the title: “Breaking Down Walls – A vision for increased unity and cooperation in the collective singing community“.
Inspired by the success of Leading Voices 2022 in Utrecht, which created many new and strengthened connections between people from different genres and styles, the European Choral Association calls on all those who are working with collective singing to reach out to others in the sector, and on decision makers and funding bodies to support organisations and events in the sector.
This advocacy statement is also paving the way towards the panel which will take the topic to a global level at the World Symposium on Choral Music in Istanbul next week.
