It is the choir’s aim to sing different musical genres at a high level, from film music to classical repertoire and Swiss folk songs. But fun and enjoyment are equally as important as is precise and detailed musical work. The choristers join the choir at around seven years of age. After the voice change they become part of the male voices’ ensemble for various projects and continue to sing in the big choir. Each chorister receives individual voice training.
Over the past years, the Male Voices have successfully taken part in competitions and have received several prizes, amongst others in Neerpelt, Montreux, and Cattolica. The Boys’ Choir Lucerne is conducted by Andreas Wiedmer. www.boys-choir-lucerne.ch
