24 International Stasys Simkus Choir Competition

Dear Choral Friends,

We are delighted to invite you to participate in the 24th International Stasys Šimkus Choir Competition, which will take place on 21–24 May 2026 in Klaipėda, Lithuania.

 2026 is a very special year – we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Lithuania’s oldest international choir competition (since 1976), held every two years in the port city of Klaipėda. Over the decades, the event has brought together outstanding choirs and vocal ensembles from all around the world, creating unforgettable musical encounters and friendships.

The competition is open to:
• Mixed, male, female, youth, and children’s choirs
• Sacred music and folk choirs
• Vocal ensembles

In addition to the competition performances, participating choirs will have the opportunity to present concerts in Klaipėda and the Klaipėda region, sharing music with local and international audiences.
