Festival of Antonín Tučapský
22 May 2026 – 23 May 2026, Vyškov, Czech republic
13€ – 80€11th year of international choir competition.
The Festival of Antonín Tučapský in Vyškov continues the long-term efforts of the city and the region to care for the tradition of choral singing and to commemorate personalities who have significantly shaped this area. Antonín Tučapský, a composer and choirmaster associated with the Moravian environment and the Vyškov district, is one of the authors whose choral work has a firm place in Czech and international interpretation practice. The competition bears his name not only as a tribute to the personality, but as a lively space for contemporary choirs to meet over the values that his music represents – cultivated sound, understandable expression and a deep relationship to the text.
The Antonín Tučapský Competition is a two-day competition for choirs focusing on classical choral work from all stylistic periods. Its aim is to support high-quality choral interpretation, the development of dramaturgical culture, and the artistic growth of amateur and youth choirs.
